Spotify just expanded its AI-powered Prompted Playlists feature to include podcasts, making it much easier for Premium users to discover new shows. The feature originally launched in December but only worked for music until now.

The way it works is simple. You type in what you’re looking for – maybe “true crime podcasts about unsolved mysteries” or “business shows for entrepreneurs” – and Spotify’s AI searches through its massive podcast library to create a personalized playlist just for you.
This could be a game-changer for podcast discovery. Right now, finding new podcasts feels like a shot in the dark. You might stumble across something good in Spotify’s recommendations, but there’s no easy way to say “find me podcasts about this specific thing I’m interested in right now.”
The feature is only available to Spotify Premium subscribers for now, which makes sense since it’s powered by AI that costs money to run.
