Spotify just launched Studio, a new AI app that creates custom daily podcasts tailored specifically to your life. The app uses your Spotify listening history, email, calendar, and notes to generate personalized audio content every day.
This isn’t just another playlist recommendation. Studio actually creates brand new podcast episodes that could include your schedule for the day, news about your interests, or discussions about topics you care about. Think of it like having a personal radio DJ who knows everything about your preferences and daily routine.
Your Digital Audio Assistant
The app works by analyzing data from multiple sources you connect to it. If you have a big meeting today, it might brief you on relevant industry news. If you’ve been listening to a lot of indie rock lately, it could create a mini-documentary about emerging artists in that genre.
Spotify is calling this “Studio by Spotify Labs,” which means it’s still experimental. The company is testing whether people actually want AI to create completely new audio content, rather than just helping them discover existing songs and podcasts.
