Samsung Plans New Galaxy S27 Pro Between Ultra and Plus

Samsung Plans New Galaxy S27 Pro Between Ultra and Plus

Samsung might add a Galaxy S27 Pro to its phone lineup next year, creating a new option that sits between the current Ultra and Plus models. The Pro would give buyers another premium choice without going all the way to the top-tier Ultra.

This move could help Samsung compete better with Apple’s iPhone Pro lineup, which offers multiple premium tiers. The Pro model would target people who want flagship features but don’t need everything the Ultra offers.

Missing the Pen, Gaining Privacy

The S27 Pro won’t support Samsung’s S Pen stylus – that feature stays exclusive to the Ultra model. But it will get Samsung’s Privacy Display technology, which lets you block people from seeing your screen when they look from the side. Right now, only Samsung’s business laptops have this feature.

This suggests Samsung wants to bring more laptop-style privacy features to phones. It makes sense for people who work on sensitive information or just want more control over who sees their screen in public.

The news comes from South Korean outlet ETNews, which often gets early Samsung details right. Adding a Pro model would mean Samsung has four main Galaxy S phones: the base S27, S27 Plus, the new S27 Pro, and S27 Ultra.

What’s Next

Expect Samsung to announce the S27 lineup early next year, probably around February. The Pro model could help Samsung grab customers who might otherwise pick an iPhone Pro, especially if the pricing hits that sweet spot between premium and ultra-premium.
