Microsoft’s New Surface Laptop Gets OLED Screen

Microsoft’s New Surface Laptop Gets OLED Screen

Microsoft is preparing to launch new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models with a major upgrade. The new Surface Laptop will offer an OLED display option for the first time, making colors pop and blacks look deeper than traditional laptop screens.

This marks Microsoft’s biggest Surface upgrade in years. OLED screens are the same technology used in premium TVs and high-end smartphones, delivering much better picture quality than regular laptop displays.

Two Different Chips Inside

The new Surface models will come with two processor options: traditional Intel chips and newer Qualcomm chips. The Qualcomm version is designed to work better with Windows’ AI features and should offer longer battery life. This gives buyers more choice depending on whether they want maximum compatibility or cutting-edge performance.

Microsoft has been pushing hard into AI lately, and these new Surface devices seem built to showcase those capabilities. The company wants to prove that Windows laptops can compete with MacBooks on both design and performance.

The OLED display option puts Surface laptops in direct competition with premium models from Apple and other manufacturers who have been slow to adopt the technology.

What’s Coming Next

Microsoft is expected to announce these new Surface models in the coming months, likely at a major tech event. The OLED Surface Laptop will probably cost more than current models, but it could finally give Microsoft a true flagship laptop that rivals the best from Apple and others. Early reports suggest the company is betting big on these devices to win back laptop buyers.
