Chrome Gets AI Skills That Remember Your Best Commands

Chrome Gets AI Skills That Remember Your Best Commands

Google just added “Skills” to Chrome that let you save and reuse your favorite AI prompts with one click. Instead of typing the same requests to Gemini over and over, you can now save them as shortcuts.

This turns Chrome into a personal AI assistant that remembers exactly how you like things done. Whether you’re writing emails, analyzing data, or brainstorming ideas, you can build a collection of go-to commands that work perfectly for you.

Your AI Gets Smarter

Google is also launching a library of premade Skills created by their team. These cover common tasks like summarizing articles, writing social media posts, or explaining complex topics in simple terms. You can grab these ready-made prompts or create your own custom ones.

The feature works by storing your most effective prompts so you don’t have to remember the exact wording that gets Gemini to respond the way you want. If you’ve ever spent time crafting the perfect AI prompt, you know how valuable this could be.

Skills will roll out to Chrome users over the next few weeks. Google says this is part of their bigger plan to make AI feel less like a chatbot and more like a personalized tool that adapts to how you actually work.
