Budweiser Plans Massive 150th Birthday Campaign

Budweiser Plans Massive 150th Birthday Campaign

Budweiser just launched a major marketing campaign celebrating both its 150th anniversary and America’s upcoming 250th birthday in 2026. The beer company is rolling out patriotic ads, limited-edition cans, and sending its famous Clydesdale horses on a cross-country tour.

This timing creates what Budweiser calls a “once-in-a-lifetime moment” – when has a brand’s big anniversary lined up so perfectly with America’s birthday? The company wants to make this their biggest summer celebration ever.

Not Just Any Marketing Campaign

Budweiser isn’t treating this like a normal product launch. As one executive put it, when you’ve been “part of the fabric of a country for more than half its history,” big anniversaries become more than just marketing – they’re cultural moments.

The campaign started with a commercial called “Great Delivery” showing Clydesdale horses pulling wagons full of beer across America, set to Grand Funk Railroad’s “We’re an American Band.” The company plans to keep the celebration going all year long.

Budweiser sits alongside brands like Levi’s, Harley-Davidson, and McDonald’s as one of the few companies seen as truly “American” around the world. Now they’re betting that identity will help them dominate the summer.

What’s Next

Expected to see a lot more Budweiser everywhere this year. The company is treating 2026 like “one big Super Bowl” and promises the current ads are just the beginning of much bigger campaigns to come.
